Emergency Care

Assessment and stabilisation of acutely unwell animals during clinic hours, with clear communication at every step.

If your pet becomes acutely unwell, please call before you travel so the team can prepare and advise you on what to do on the way. The clinic does not operate 24 hours; outside opening hours we will advise you as best we can.

Conditions we look after

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Accidents and trauma
  • Severe vomiting or diarrhoea
  • Seizures or collapse
  • Suspected poisoning
  • Inability to urinate
  • Difficult labour
  • Uncontrolled bleeding

Examinations and treatments

  • Urgent triage and assessment
  • Fluid therapy and stabilising medication
  • Urgent diagnostic testing
  • Referral where it is in the animal's interest

Technology used

Information for your visit

We select equipment around each patient's clinical question, from examination and vital-sign monitoring to blood, urine and diagnostic imaging. Every result is explained alongside the symptoms and history, never interpreted as a number in isolation.
